BACKGROUND

Distinctive and expressive Lemberger. The strictly selective harvest brings density and flavor, paired with lots of fruit, fine roasted aromas and an enormous body. Classic and typical of its kind - a picture book Lemberger. The expansion took place for 18 months in barriques.

LOCATION

The Mönchberg in Untertürkheim is one of the oldest and probably also the best vineyards in Württemberg. The orientation to the south and the steep and sheltered location in the Stuttgart basin contribute to the early budding of the vines and provide the basis for high-quality qualities in autumn.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

A Lemberger from the picture book, classic and typical in its kind. With a delicate blackberry aroma, cedar wood and some plums, plus a delicate roasted aroma from the 16-month aging in barriques. A selective harvest had already provided the basis for a lot of fruit and rich body in the wine. The wine develops gentle pressure and a brilliant play of fruit on the tongue; in the finish it remains present for a long time.

FOOD RECOMMENDATION: Tomato essence, pot roast in a strong sauce, beef roulades, game dishes, goulash that is not too spicy, roast beef.
