Featuring the watercolour of Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II. This wine comes from 7 hectares of south-facing land with rich clay and limestone. A classic Malbec, purple in colour which offers a delicate aromas of red fruits by revealing all the intensity and fleshy character.

This version comes with a presentation box with Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark's Monogram. This is ideal for a perfect gift, as a centre piece for dinner parties, anniversaries, or for a celebratory occasion. It is a 2015 vintage.

Vinification

Following green harvesting, the leaves are manually removed from the grapes and the berries are selected on the sorting table. The grapes are mechanically harvested and firstly sorts by the achineary before being sorted manually for the second time on the table in the cellar. This magnum undergoes cold ( 8 °C) pre-fermentative-controlled stainless steel tanks. Alchoholic fermintation and macernation take 28 days at a temperature of 26/280°C, while the final maceration occures at a temperature of 32/35°C . Malolatic fermentation and ageing take place in new barrels at 1/3 for a minimum of 12 months.

Tasting Note

A purple-coloured wine, Château de Cayx has the delicate aroma of red fruits and delivers all the intensity and fleshy character typical of Malbec. The wine has spicy notes and silky tannins on the palate. Château de Cayx 's concentrated nature is characteristic of the finest Cahors wines; it also has an elegant taste. A wine capable of aging and keeping for up to 10 years.

Best served at room temperature (19°C) to accompany either duck breast with cherries or Quercy saddle of lamb.
