LOCATION

The location is one of the best in Württemberg. It supplies the specially selected, optimal grapes for the Riesling large plant. BACKGROUND STORY

Her name can be traced back to a lady-in-waiting who lived in Stetten at the end of the 17th century, who liked to drink wine but wanted to hide her consumption from the courtly public. So she had the jug that was intended for the "bread water" filled with wine. She dipped the bread into it and was able to enjoy wine and take a sip of the "water" over and over again. It was noticed that the servants did not rush to the well to refill the jar but marched into the cellar. The diversionary manoeuvre was soon over. And the favourite wine of the thirsty lady-in-waiting was named bread water.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The golden yellow colour indicates that the grape material is very ripe. Citrus and pineapple cavort in the aroma, accompanied by a delicate mineral. The taste of the pleasantly light wine is stimulating, gently vibrating and shows a delicate play of fruit in fine acidity. The yield was greatly reduced. After a selective hand-picking, the must was fermented long and cool. The young wine then lay longer on the fine lees and refuelled with subtleties.

FOOD RECOMMENDATION:

Fish terrine, prawns and crabs, vitello tonnato, quiche, onion pie, steamed fish and fish fried on the skin, dishes with veal.
