Traditional Cork Sealing Method

Champagnes were originally sealed with a cork stopper with strings. The stopper was originally secured to the bottle with string, as seen with Champagne Blanc Nori, typically hemp string, which was fastened by hand, with the bottle held between the legs. This fastening of the cork using a knotted loop remained a risky business, even when reinforced string and/or steel wire was used. However, Champagne F. Barbier continues this tradition.

Champagne Blanc Noir from Maison F. Barbier is exclusively made from Chardonnay Grand Cru -60% - and Pinot Noir de Mailly -40% -
